<p>Qatar’s defense ministry said Monday that Qatari forces shot down two Su-24 fighter jets coming from Iran, without providing additional details. The event occurred amid Iranian drone and missile attacks on Arab Gulf states following U.S. and Israeli airstrikes launched Saturday.</p><p>On Monday, Qatar also confirmed intercepting Iranian attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, including Doha International Airport, and a Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson said the country would not allow such attacks to go unanswered and was not engaging with Iran at that time. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported a vessel at Bahrain’s port was struck by two unknown projectiles, causing a fire that was extinguished; the crew was evacuated and the vessel remained at port.</p><p>Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior reported one death and two serious injuries after a missile interception led to debris falling onto a ship and causing a fire. In Iraq, security sources said three armed drones were shot down over Erbil Airport, where U.S. forces are stationed. The United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE issued a joint statement condemning Iran’s missile and drone attacks and reaffirming self-defense.</p>
