UFC chief Dana White said a cage fight planned for the White House grounds will âprobablyâ be broadcast on CBS. White made the comment to a Wall Street Journal columnist, saying, âThat is going to happen,â when asked about holding a UFC fight at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The remarks came hours after UFC announced a $7 billion media deal with Paramount to stream UFC fights on Paramount+.
The Paramount deal followed Paramountâs closing of a multibillion-dollar merger with Skydance the prior week. That merger received approval from President Trumpâs Federal Communications Commission after Paramount promised to retool CBS News coverage toward a more âdiverseâ set of viewpoints and to scale back its corporate diversity policies.
Trump has previously floated holding a UFC fight at the White House, stating last month that âthereâs a lot of land there.â
