Democrat Bobbi Boudman won a special election Tuesday for a New Hampshire state House seat in Carroll County district 7, defeating Republican Dale Fincher 51% to 47%.
The district was carried by Donald Trump by nine points in the 2024 election. Boudman had previously run for the same seat twice and lost in 2024 by 13.6 points.
After the result, Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee president Heather Williams described a series of recent special-election losses for state Republicans. DNC Chair Ken Martin said Boudmanâs campaign focused on costs facing families in New Hampshire and cited opposition to Trumpâs âBig Ugly Bill.â
The Downballot reported this was the tenth district Democrats have flipped in a special election since President Trump returned to office.
